Overview
Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM), owned and operated by the City of Redmond, is hiring an Airport Facilities Manager to oversee terminal operations and airport facilities maintenance. This leadership role manages HVAC and control systems, fire and life safety systems, baggage handling systems, parking revenue equipment, and other critical building infrastructure. The position ensures safe, efficient, and compliant airport operations while supervising and motivating maintenance staff.

- Bachelor’s or Vocational degree in airport/aviation management, facility management, public administration, or related field; and five (5) years of verifiable progressive experience in facilities maintenance, with at least two (2) years in a verifiable supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the described duties; and understands the practices and methods in commercial custodial maintenance.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, vendors, and the public.
- Ability to guide, direct and motivate employees; ability to organize, schedule, and supervise the activities of various crews performing construction and maintenance work.
- The position requires employees to operate a motor vehicle in the course of their position.
- Possession of, or required to obtain a valid Oregon Driver’s License within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Successfully pass a TSA Criminal History Background Check and Security Threat Assessment.
- Successfully complete RDM Trusted Agent training within thirty (30) days of hire and become an Airport Duty Manager as needed to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Two (2) years of working in an Airport or FAA regulated environment.
- Possession of an Airport Safety and Operations Specialist (ASOS) certification.
- A two-year technical certificate in plumbing, electrical or air conditioning/refrigeration/heating technologies.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Oregon boiler and pressure vessel license class three (3) or higher.
- Limited Maintenance Electrical License (LME)(LEB).
- EPA Universal Refrigerant license.
- Building Automation System Certification (BACnet, Niagara, Reliable, Metasys).
- Experience with chillers (Screw, Centrifugal).
