Introduction

At Senneca, we embrace the entrepreneurial spirit of the innovators that created our brands from traffic doors, to cold storage doors to fiberglass doors and beyond. We are committed to exceeding our customers’ expectations and to provide doors that offer safety and protection to our customers’ most important assets…people, products, capital investments and processes.

Team Size: 2-person specialized build team

Reports To:

Assembly Supervisor

Company Overview

At Chase Doors, we manufacture plastic rotationally molded traffic doors for commercial and industrial environments across a wide range of applications. In addition to our high-volume traffic door lines, we also produce the CR1400, a premium corrosion‑resistant door designed for office spaces and demanding environments that require washdown capability.
The CR1400 is a high‑end, tight‑tolerance, craftsmanship‑driven product, and demand is growing. We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced craftsman who is detail‑oriented, takes pride in their work, and is motivated to build industry‑leading products.

Position Overview

This role focuses on building our CR1400 Corrosion Resistant Plastic Door—a craft‑built, rotationally molded, solid‑core door assembled with precision and care. Unlike our assembly‑line traffic doors, the CR1400 requires true craftsmanship, self‑motivation, and consistent attention to detail.
You will also support construction of our Gate Door model and build custom shipping crates as needed to protect product during outbound shipments.
This position offers the opportunity to work side‑by‑side with a senior craftsman with 10+ years of experience who will provide direct training, with the long‑term goal of preparing you to lead the CR1400 build process in the future.

What We Offer

  • Hands‑on training and mentorship from a senior craftsman with over a decade of expertise.
  • Clear career progression toward leading the CR1400 build process.
  • A team culture that values craftsmanship, pride in work, and product ownership.
  • Opportunities to grow alongside a rapidly expanding product line.
Responsibilities CR1400 & Gate Door Construction
  • Build our CR1400 corrosion‑resistant doors from rotationally molded components.
  • Operate CNC equipment to process and prepare door components to tight tolerances.
  • Manually prep, fit, and install commercial door hardware with exceptional accuracy.
  • Construct and assemble our Gate Door product line.
  • Crate Building & Shipping Preparation
  • Build durable, custom shipping crates to protect products during transport.
  • Ensure crates meet internal specifications and carrier requirements.
Craftsmanship & Quality
  • Apply skilled craftsmanship to achieve consistent, high‑quality final products.
  • Maintain strict adherence to blueprints, dimensional tolerances, and technical requirements.
  • Perform in‑process quality checks and final inspections.
  • Take pride in producing work that reflects Chase Doors’ standard of excellence.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, and Engineering to confirm specifications and alignment on custom requirements.
  • Partner effectively within a small, highly skilled two‑person team.
  • Provide input and feedback as the CR1400 product line expands.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety procedures in a manufacturing environment; use required PPE at all times.
  • Participate actively in company safety programs and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Ensure all work meets internal quality and documentation standards.
Requirements

Required

  • Experience in door construction, millwork, cabinetry, fabrication, or a related craft trade.
  • Proficiency in panel handling, mitering, precise measuring, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with machines, hand tools, and woodworking or fabrication equipment.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to producing premium‑quality work.
  • Self‑starter mindset with pride in craftsmanship and ownership of the final product.
  • Strong safety awareness and consistent, reliable work habits.

Preferred

  • 3+ years in door manufacturing, millwork, plastics, or industrial fabrication.
  • Experience with hardware prep/installation for commercial or industrial doors.
  • Familiarity with rotational molding, foam‑core products, or composite materials.
