Production Group Lead

We are seeking a motivated Production Lead to support our growing production team, across a diverse mix of customer programs. This role is ideal for someone with strong composites experience and emerging leadership skills who enjoys working hands-on, mentoring others and who takes pride in quality work.

You’ll be responsible for day-to-day production execution, team development and quality performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Production Lead directly supports the successful delivery of composite manufacturing to AS9100 standards as well as customer requirements. You’ll work closely with a team of composite technicians, engineering, quality and supply chain to deliver high-quality parts and products, on-time and within budget. This role requires the ability to work in a technical shop environment.

• Lead daily production activities.
• Own the standard of work (AS9100+) and team adherence to in-house manufacturing processes
• Support and upholds company values and professional culture
• Mentor and develop technicians and team leads through coaching and training
• Manage production schedules and supports delivery commitments (95% on-time delivery)
• Ensure quality processes are followed and work is completed to standard
• Internal quality target 90% defect free
• Coordinate production team through regular check-ins, stand-ups, quality reviews and training
• Track production milestones, resource needs, scope change and issues
• Review BOMs, work instructions and documentation for accuracy and manufacturability
• Participate in problem
  -solving
• Support customer and vendor communications as needed
• Perform annual performance reviews
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional shop environment

• 5+ years of experience in composites manufacturing
• 3+ years of experience leading teams in a manufacturing or technical environment
• Strong attention to details and organizational skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and supply chain
• Willingness to learn, adapt and take on new challenges
• Proactive, dependable, hands-on leadership style
• Familiarity with AS9100 and other quality systems

• Salary: $60-90K depending on experience
