Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Strong basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to read, write (clearly and legibly), speak and understand English
- Excellent eyesight, with or without correction, for close inspection work
- Familiarity with basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers) and mechanical concepts
- Ability to practice and adhere to all workplace safety rules and precautions
- Ability to move or maneuver up to 75 lbs on a regular basis and occasionally lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to work in a team‑oriented, quality‑focused and performance‑driven environment
- Ability to pass and maintain a clean drug and criminal background screening
Working conditions require great mobility. Must be able to consistently move/maneuver weights of 35 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift weights of 35 to 45 pounds. Other physical aspects required bending, stooping, squatting and standing on concrete floors, which are often wet, for long periods at a time. Also required to climb ladders, retrieve materials from storage, etc. The work environment may expose the employee to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, vibrations, and moderate noise levels.

Duties and Responsibilities- Operate and perform general maintenance on a variety of machines such as trimmers, extrusion presses, draw presses, and other brass production equipment.
- Operate block and tackle hoists, electric hoists, electric trucks, hand trucks, forklifts, and other mechanical devices (e.g., tumblers for cleaning and drying raw materials).
- Apply chemical brighteners to raw materials and operate annealing ovens to heat‑treat brass casings.
- Perform constant quality checks on raw materials throughout the manufacturing process.
- Function as a team player while working under repetitive conditions.
- Follow instructions from superiors through to completion.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and complete work within required deadlines.
Monday - Friday
- 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
- 2nd Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm

The position begins as an “Introductory Trainee” for 60 consecutive days, during which time management will evaluate suitability for the role. If suitable, status will advance to “Regular Employee,” and benefits will commence. Assignment may be on the first or second shift; a 10% shift differential applies to second‑shift assignment for a total of $22 an hour, with a base pay of $20 an hour.
Successful applicants must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
