Pay: $18-19 / hr
Schedule: Day & Evening shifts available ($19 for evening/nights), Occasional Sat OT as well.
Job Summary:
This will be a warehouse position, focused on handling the production and organization of the product. This person will be in charge of using the bagging machine to bag up the product, assemble boxes, and other warehouse duties. Must have strong basic math skills and must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds regularly.
REPORTS TO: Packaging/Production Lead
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Assist in cleaning all machines, tools and plant.
- Assist in all quality control functions and paper work documentation.
- Assist in all unpackaged product is put into bins with plastic liners and correct labels/cards to transfer to another warehouse.
- Assist in filling out Bin Cards completely and correctly with signatures.
- Make sure Bin Cards reflect the product that is in each bin.
- Assist with making sure bins of products are unloaded and put into correct order to be bagged or jarred.
- Complete and verify that all counts and weights are correct, ensuring the scales have been torn to 0 before bagging/jarring.
- Package finished product.
- Verify all weights and counts are consistent and correct throughout the process of bagging/jarring, by spot counting and weighing.
- Assist with all bagging operations and packaging machine.
- Ensure working area is safe, organized and clutter free at all times.
- Assist in making sure the plant is properly maintained and safe.
- Assist in end of day cleaning of machines and warehouse
- Operates small fork lift, if over 18 with Forklift Certification completed, as needed.
- Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
- Must be available to work overtime as scheduled or as needed.
Must be able to work on a team with a positive attitude
Background in production or warehouse work, including baking, food processing and/or food handling preferred.
Able to read and write at high school level and able to follow written and verbal direction.
