Job Description
Machine Operator responsible for receiving, sorting, photographing, decontaminating, drying and documenting invasive medical devices in the Redmond, Oregon facility. Work must comply with Medline ReNewal standard operating procedures and FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety.
Essential Functions- Receive devices from the receiving team and confirm all necessary paperwork is present.
- Sort each bin of incoming contaminated devices by device type safely.
- Document devices received and forward them to the appropriate decontamination area or reject ineligible devices.
- Decontaminate devices using chemical soaks, ultrasonic baths, steam cleaning, or manual scrubbing to remove debris such as blood or tissue.
- Dry cleaned devices using compressed air.
- Ensure devices are separated according to documentation and organizational system.
- Verify that devices sent to the next production area match documentation and sign off on records.
- Assist other departments as needed to meet or exceed production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Basic English communication skills, including speaking and reading.
- Proficiency in using a computer to locate information and print reports.
- Ability to stand for an 8‑hour shift with appropriate meal and rest breaks.
- Comfortable working in a room with sinks, racks, tables, and limited movement space.
- Tolerance for moderate to high noise, humidity, and moisture levels.
- Capacity to lift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 45 lbs up to 10 times a day.
- Perform repetitive tasks and small motion tasks throughout the shift.
- Focused attention to safely handle sharp, contaminated devices at a fast pace.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing role.

Anticipated salary range: $17.25 – $25.00 hourly.
The actual salary will vary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
