Truss Production Worker
*
* Essential Functions:

**- Assists in preparation of truss assembly by picking, stacking, or sorting truss parts.

Follows instructions on paperwork to ensure proper materials are being used in the correct location and order.

May affix proper metal plate by hammering into place.

Stacks wood or finished product neatly and in proper order for assembly and delivery. Bands product and labels with appropriate job code.

Maintains working area free of miscellaneious equipment and debris. Sweeps work area at the end of the shift.

Reports all unsafe working conditions and practices to lead or supervisor.

Adheres to OSHA requirements and company policies/procedures to ensure safety at all times.

Regular and predictable attendance during assigned working hours.
** Knowledge/

Experience:

** 6 months production experience preferred

Completion of high school/college carpentry or wood shop classes a plus

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
** Skills/Abilities:
** Ability to listen, take direction and learn

Ability to understand, write and read basic English Basic math skills

Ability to read and utilize tape measure

Ability to work with hammer/nail gun/staple gun/power saws

Work effectively with others in crew and be a team player

Use Safe work practices
** Hours
* * 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday
*
* Working Conditions:

** Work in outdoor conditions

Exposure to excessive noise

Mandatory overtime as required (includes Saturday’s and Sunday’s)
** Physical Requirement:
** Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs throughout shift

Must wear personal protective equipment

Ability to perform the following physical actions on a regular basis for 8-10 hours per day:

Sit Stand Walk Push /Pull Squat/Kneel Bend/Stoop Twist/Turn Handle/Grasp Reach overhead and outward
** Other Requirements:
** Cold & wet weather gear Hammer and 30’ tape measure
