General

Description

Provide maintenance on specialized commercial HVAC systems according to company standards, delivering a high‑quality experience to customers.

Other Position Details
  • Start up and service mechanical and electronic equipment.
  • Utilize hand tools and test equipment to perform work.
  • Review work orders, manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine tasks and required tools, equipment, and parts.
  • Consult with the customer’s representative and inspect installation sites to verify electrical installations meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC equipment to detect malfunctions and repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, repairing equipment with knowledge of electronics and standard test instruments.
  • Collaborate with engineering personnel to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance problems.
  • Document service calls and startups, noting product performance and suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability needed.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional trade school or certifications a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry products and equipment a plus.
  • Proficiency with a variety of hand tools.
  • Experience making repair and replacement decisions.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Mechanical aptitude and general tool knowledge.
  • Ability to travel up to 90% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Capable of utilizing a laptop PC for reporting and troubleshooting software.
