Here, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best-maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

Main Responsibilities- Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
- Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
- Performing preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires—and completing component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
- Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.

- Strong, well‑rounded training on a variety of OEM equipment (Penske’s Technician Certification Program is certified by the Continuing Automotive Service Education provider).
- Advanced vehicle maintenance technology.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- The ability to solve problems and be comfortable using tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management.
- Ability to perform work in adherence to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including correct tool and PPE usage, machine guarding, and best safety practices.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Compliance with DOT regulations: current driver qualification file, annual MVR check, completed DOT Physical, safety performance history, and for CDL holders, DOT drug screening and FMCSA clearinghouse review.
- Willingness to work the required schedule, location, and meet background screening, drug screen, and physical requirements; potential travel for training.
- Ability to work in constant alertness, accept responsibility for own and others’ safety.
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands routinely to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, or operate required tools or controls.
- Work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work safely in all weather conditions.
- See and hear to navigate the work environment safely due to frequent movement of large trucks.
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg); push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs.
$23.41 per hour
HoursMonday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Shift DifferentialsSecond shift start times after 11 AM are eligible for $3.00 per hour shift differential.
Third shift start times after 9 PM are eligible for $4.00 per hour shift differential.
