Position Summary

A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services. The driver ensures vehicle compliance with safety standards, follows all regulations, and completes daily Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs) to report defects.

• Perform pre- and post‑operation vehicle inspections covering tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls.
• Report safety issues on standard reports.
• Safely operate the truck on assigned routes, following route sheet and dispatch instructions.
• Lift, load, and compact refuse, then dispose of material at designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to service routes timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers, tag them per procedures, and monitor waste for unacceptable material.
• Clean spill areas and maintain vehicle operational readiness, including cleaning waste from blade and truck body.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports.
• Maintain productivity standards and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in the Company’s ReSOP program and perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
• Display professional customer service, honesty, teamwork, time‑management, and adherence to company policies.

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Prior experience with collection trucking preferred.
• Strong customer service and adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and meet productivity targets.
