Basic Function

Uni Sea is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its corporate team in Redmond, Washington. The successful candidate will deliver useful, timely, and accurate financial information in a cost-effective manner.

Essential Duties

Maintain the general ledger and prepare related schedules and accounting documents efficiently and in an organized manner.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations for various accounts and related‑party transactions.

Reconcile the Hospitality and Payroll bank accounts each month.

Prepare accounting documents as needed for external audits.

Maintain lease records and assist with fixed asset accounting.

Submit quarterly Alaska fuel tax refund claims.

Submit property tax information to taxing authorities and reconcile related accounts.

Support Senior Financial Accountants with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close as needed.

Deposit received checks and assist with Accounts Receivable and AR aging reviews.

Provide guidance on reconciling bank statements to the General Ledger.

Secondary Duties

Support department members with tasks as deadlines approach.

Guide the reconciliation of bank statements to the General Ledger.

Complete other assigned duties accurately and on time.

May require short‑notice travel to Alaska for one or more weeks at a time.

Requirements

A four-year bachelor’s degree is required; an emphasis in accounting is preferred.
Two to four years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Advanced proficiency in Excel or a comparable spreadsheet program is required.
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, plan for predictable events, and adapt to frequent changes and varying workloads.
Must take initiative and perform effectively under pressure.
Must demonstrate tact and persuasive communication to achieve desired outcomes.

This is a salaried non‑exempt position with a salary range of $75,000 – $90,000 per year.
