The main function of an administrative assistant is to provide high-level administrative support by partnering with the Lead Admin and admin team and performing general office duties.

Typical Day in the Role:
Purpose of the Team:
The sponsor is part of a security team at Microsoft and requires general administrative support providing assistance cross-org for different projects/ to help provide team support.
Key projects:
This position will not provide calendaring or travel support. The role will primarily support the current administrative team with onboarding, events planning/setup for morale events and special projects.
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:
The role will consist of 10% meetings, 50% team support, new hire set up, requests, etc., 40% special projects.

Required:
1+ years of administrative support in an office
Degrees or certifications required:
No degree is required to be eligible for this role. At minimum a high school diploma is required. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
Disqualifiers:
Candidate must have administrative support experience, not looking for call center/support engineers. They need to be able to work onsite M-F, 9-5 (for the entire time).
Best vs. Average:
The best candidate is very good at communication, has previous Microsoft experience (though not required), has experience using OWA (not required but a plus), has event set up experience, has customer service experience, and is able to troubleshoot (resolve problems on their own. while help will be provided, this is ideal) and is a quick learner.
Performance Indicators:
Performance will be assessed based on feedback from the people they work with and how well they interact/get along with the team.
