Overview

The MAI Monetization organization powers Microsoft Advertising and the monetization of Microsoft’s AI products — spanning Copilot, Bing, and Edge. Our Product team builds AI-native advertising experiences that help advertisers achieve measurable growth through automation, recommendations, objective-based buying, and proprietary signals — while keeping user trust, relevance, and transparency at the center. Advertising is where user intent, marketplace economics, and large-scale AI systems meet, and it is one of the highest-impact surfaces at the company.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Product Manager to drive execution across a high-impact area of our Ads monetization portfolio. You will own products end-to-end — turning direction into crisp requirements, driving prioritization, and partnering day-to-day with Engineering, Design, and Data Science to ship AI-powered experiences that grow revenue while improving quality, relevance, and trust. You will make data-informed decisions, instrument and land the metrics that matter, and keep programs moving from definition through launch.

This role suits a builder — a product manager who thrives close to engineering, is energized by shipping, and turns ambiguity into a concrete, prioritized backlog that teams can execute against.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities
  • Own product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end delivery from concept to launch.
  • Translate business goals into clear PRDs, user stories, and measurable success criteria.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to prioritize scope, make tradeoffs, and deliver high-quality releases.
  • Drive execution by managing backlogs, tracking progress, removing blockers, and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Define and monitor product metrics, leveraging data and experimentation to guide decisions.
  • Lead A/B testing and iterative product improvements to optimize customer and business outcomes.
  • Deliver AI-powered advertiser monetization experiences while ensuring responsible and trustworthy AI practices.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders, manage dependencies, and own launch readiness, release quality, and post-launch performance.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of product management experience with a solid bias for execution and delivery, ideally for advertising, search, commerce, marketplace, recommendation, or AI/ML-powered products.
  • Track record of shipping products and features end-to-end at scale, working hands-on with engineering through the full cycle (specs, flighting, launch, telemetry).
  • Solid experimentation background — designing and interpreting A/B tests and using data to drive product decisions.
  • Working knowledge of advertising technology: auctions, bidding, ranking/relevance, targeting, and campaign platforms.
  • Experience with generative AI, Copilot, personalization, or recommendation experiences.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate crisply to executives.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code.
