About The Role

The Director of Digital Engineering provides strategic, operational, financial, and people leadership for digital engineering services supporting Global Workplace Services. The role is accountable for service delivery, governance, innovation, lifecycle management, operational resilience, client success, and continuous improvement across smart building, workplace technology, engineering data, controls, analytics, and related digital infrastructure.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute the Digital Engineering strategy, annual priorities, operational roadmap, and performance objectives in alignment with CBRE and client business goals.
  • Lead the delivery and lifecycle management of digital engineering services, platforms, systems, and programs supporting facilities and workplace operations.
  • Provide executive oversight for building automation and controls, smart building integration, Building Orchestrator initiatives, sensors and IoT, operational technology networks, engineering data and analytics, workplace technology, remote operations, and related governance programs.
  • Establish service standards, operating rhythms, performance measures, controls, and continuous improvement practices that improve reliability, scalability, customer value, and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for Digital Engineering service risks, critical incidents, operational disruptions, cybersecurity concerns, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, CBRE leaders, operations teams, technology partners, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Prepare and present business reviews, performance reports, strategic recommendations, investment proposals, risk assessments, and program updates for senior leadership.
  • Lead resource planning, organizational design, recruitment, onboarding, coaching, succession planning, and professional development for managers and technical professionals.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasts, contracts, statements of work, procurement activities, vendor performance, capital planning, and operating expense management for Digital Engineering services.
  • Sponsor innovation and digital transformation initiatives involving automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, intelligent operations, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable CBRE and client requirements for cybersecurity, privacy, safety, service management, documentation, change control, and business continuity.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values while fostering accountability, collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and a strong safety culture.

    Digital Engineering vision, service strategy, roadmaps, innovation portfolio, organizational change, and alignment with account and client priorities.
  • Operational Delivery:
    Service performance, reliability, operational readiness, incident escalation, business continuity, customer experience, and continuous improvement.
  • Technology and Engineering Programs:
    Building automation and controls; smart building integration;
    Building Orchestrator; connected building technologies;
    IoT and sensors; operational technology networks; engineering data and analytics; intelligent campus capabilities; workplace technology; and remote operations.
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance:
    Cybersecurity, privacy, safety, documentation standards, service governance, change control, policy adherence, risk mitigation, and executive visibility.
  • Financial and Commercial Stewardship:
    Budgets, forecasts, operating and capital expenditures, contracts, statements of work, procurement, vendor performance, cost optimization, and investment recommendations.
  • People and Organizational Leadership:
    Workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, coaching, development, succession planning, engagement, and leadership capability.
  • Client Success and Stakeholder Management:
    Executive relationships, business reviews, strategic partnership, issue resolution, communications, program outcomes, and escalation management.
  • Performance and Reporting:
    Operational metrics, service-level performance, business outcomes, trend analysis, management reporting, and corrective action plans.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related discipline required.
