Ramp & Customer Service Agent

Location:

Redmond, WA

Join Horizon Air’s airport team in moving guests and their belongings from curb to cabin. This role involves both guest interactions and ramp operations, working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key Duties
  • Assist guests with inquiries, baggage handling, ticketing, checking‑in passengers, and boarding flights.
  • Perform below‑wing functions such as transporting baggage and cargo, loading/unloading luggage, aircraft marshaling, push‑backs, and de‑icing.
  • Conduct aircraft grooming and security searches.
  • Carry out boarding and gate duties, including directing guests, making announcements, and processing standby and upgrade requests.
  • Process and secure guest luggage, maintain luggage claim records for damaged, delayed, or pilfered items.
  • Load and unload luggage and cargo using conveyor belts.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by management to ensure guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Valid, unexpired driver’s license issued by a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Proficiency with computerized reservation systems.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
  • Capable of consistently lifting 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp as necessary.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Participation in paid training that may require overnight travel.
  • Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification (depending on location).
  • Capability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • English communication required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of customer service or community service experience.
Pay & Benefits
  • Starting wage: $18.32 per hour (non‑negotiable).
  • Split‑shift differential: $2.00 per hour for split shifts, resulting in an effective hourly rate of $20.32.
  • Schedule:

    15 to 30 hours per week.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required.
