Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Support and promote the mission and core values of The Bear Creek School
- Build relationships with students, families, staff, and faculty to promote good health in the community
- Create a safe, fun, and effective environment for athlete training
- Teach a comprehensive fitness and conditioning program including strength training, agility, athlete performance, stretching, mindset coaching, and nutrition counseling
- Help create and deliver measurable objectives related to a functional strength and conditioning program for all student‑athletes and programs
- Teach and ensure proper weightlifting and spotting techniques
- Establish safety procedures for the Fitness Center and supervise activities to ensure compliance
- Develop a schedule of use for the Fitness Center to allow all Upper School students to attain program goals
- During season, help coaches, student‑athletes, and teams achieve maximum performance
- Out of season, assist individual student‑athletes with customized performance plans based on identified goals and objectives
- Ensure equipment is properly stored, maintained, cleaned, and inspected for safety and productivity
- Collaborate with the Athletics Trainer and coaches on injury rehabilitation and return‑to‑play of athletes
- Solicit feedback from student‑athletes and coaches annually
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletics Director
- Teach two Health classes to Upper School students on a daily schedule
- Teach two Strength and Conditioning classes to Upper School students on a daily schedule
- Provide supervision in the Fitness Center for two hours after the school day concludes
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Some coaching experience preferred
- National Strength and Conditioning Association certification or equivalent
- Hold CPR/AED/First Aid certification (with epinephrine autoinjector supplement) and obtain within 90 days of employment start date
- Currently authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not available for this position
