Eastlake High School is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and committed science educator to join our science department as a biology teacher to fill a 1.0 FTE position for the 202627 school year. Building administrators will contact you if they wish to schedule an interview.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement engaging, standards-based lessons.
* Cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom culture where all students feel safe, valued, and empowered to learn.
* Collaborate closely with colleagues to plan curriculum, align assessments, and support school-wide goals.
* Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and tailor instruction to individual needs.
* Build strong, caring relationships with students, promoting both academic and personal growth.
* Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
* Embrace and model the Eastlake credo in daily interactions and professional conduct.
Qualifications:
Washington State teaching certificate with Biology endorsement or General Science endorsement.
Required:
* Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Biology endorsement or General Science endorsement.
* A deep commitment to student-centered teaching, inclusion, and equity.
* Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
* A passion for science education and meaningful student relationships.
Preferred:
* Experience working with high school students (ages 1419).
* Familiarity with science instruction and hands-on lab practices.
* Enthusiasm for contributing to a school culture where everyone feels at home.
* Additional science endorsements (e.g. Chemistry, Physics).
Salary:
Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
