Math Teacher Position

Eastlake High School is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Math Teacher to join our highly collaborative Mathematics Department. This is a 1.0 FTE continuing position. A building administrator will contact you directly if they wish to schedule an interview. The current teaching assignment includes Algebra 2 and Precalculus. This position requires a strong commitment to instructional excellence, content expertise, and student-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, high-quality instruction in Algebra 2 and Precalculus
• Design and implement lessons aligned to standards and course expectations
• Work closely with other math teachers to plan curriculum, assessments, and interventions
• Use data to inform instruction and support differentiated learning
• Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect, and resilience
• Maintain high expectations for academic success and personal growth
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching certificate with appropriate math endorsement (or ability to obtain)
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching Algebra 2 and Precalculus at the high school level
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to team-based curriculum planning
• Strong classroom management and instructional design skills
• Passion for working with high-achieving and motivated learners

Preferred Qualities:

• Experience with honors-level or advanced mathematics instruction
• Familiarity with standards-based grading and assessment practices
• Commitment to equity and excellence for all students

Salary:
Paid per teacher salary schedule with base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and responsibility. Additional technology stipend and professional fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
