International Community School (within the Juanita Learning Community) is looking for qualified candidates to teach IB Chemistry, Chemistry and Middle School Science classes for the 2026 - 2027 school year. This is a 1.0 FTE continuing position. Building administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview.

Washington State teaching certificate with HS chemistry endorsements. Preferred qualification would include additional certification in biology, mathematics and/or previous IB teaching/training.

ICS is a secondary 6-12 school where teachers may teach both MS and HS students. The position entails teaching HS Chemistry, IB Diploma Chemistry and middle school level science during the 2026-27 school year. Whomever is hired will be required to attend IB Chemistry training (unless candidate has already been trained) between July and October of 2026. Additionally, ics has overnight student experiences with Camp Phoenix in the fall and Focus Week in the spring semesters.

Teachers at ICT also support IB students in grades 11 and 12 through Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service components of the IB Diploma Core.

Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
