Arabic Teacher

Medina Academy is a growing Islamic school community that began in 2000 with a small preschool class and a vision for faith-centered education. Since then, it has expanded to serve more than 370 students from Pre-K through 10th grade. The Arabic Teacher is a part-time, on-site role based at Medina Academy in Redmond, WA. This role is responsible for planning and delivering engaging Arabic language lessons that build students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Day-to-day tasks include creating age-appropriate lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will manage classroom activities, maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, and communicate regularly with families and colleagues about student learning.

The Arabic Teacher collaborates with other staff to integrate Islamic values into language instruction and supports school events and activities as needed.

• Strong skills in Language Teaching and Teaching, with demonstrated experience instructing Arabic to diverse learners.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning, including designing structured, engaging, and standards-aligned lessons.
• Knowledge of Islamic Studies sufficient to support integration of Islamic values within classroom activities.
• Effective Communication skills for interaction with students, families, and colleagues in a school setting.
• Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) and strong command of English.
• Relevant teaching certification or coursework in education, language instruction, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working in K-12 or similar educational environments, with commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive teaching practices.
• Ability to maintain professional conduct, follow school policies, and contribute positively to a collaborative school community.
