Construction Program Manager 3

The Construction Program Manager 3 will serve as an Energy Lease Delivery Manager, supporting a global energy lease team by overseeing energy and power delivery activities from lease execution through energization. This role focuses on delivery-stage readiness, technical coordination, and escalation management, ensuring that all projects align with lease obligations and technical requirements. The position centers on complex, high-risk energy delivery initiatives, including behind-the-meter natural gas generation, islanded infrastructure solutions, and aggressive energization schedules in utility-constrained markets.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control, and report energy delivery risks across active lease projects to maintain clear visibility into delivery status and potential issues.
  • Proactively identify power delivery risks, schedule delays, and critical path impacts before they affect project milestones, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain structured risk registers, issue logs, and escalation tracking aligned with established delivery governance processes.
  • Support internal and external risk assessment meetings, including occasional travel to project sites, to review and address energy delivery concerns.
  • Track and manage compliance with A-2 items and pre-lease execution risks identified during statement of qualifications (SOQ) evaluations.
  • Provide oversight of energy milestone tracking for leased datacenter projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of progress.
  • Support energization readiness activities for "Power Day 0" and validate readiness with natural gas providers, power providers, and lessors.
  • Coordinate internally with Energy Markets Program Managers, regional delivery teams, and cross-functional construction partners to align energization schedules and dependencies.
  • Support utility outage engagement activities and assist with root cause analyses (RCA) and service level agreement (SLA) evaluations related to delivery delays or outages.
  • Participate in construction reviews of business (ROBs) and escalation forums for critical projects to address issues impacting energy delivery.
  • Identify whether issues originate from utilities, lease providers, contractors, or internal delivery dependencies and coordinate appropriate resolution paths.
  • Review and validate technical documentation such as substation readiness packages, energization procedures, utility coordination updates, transformer testing documentation, single-line diagrams, and utility/interconnection readiness evidence.
  • Serve as a key technical coordination point between internal stakeholders and external lease providers and utilities to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Support metro deep dives, resilience meetings, and leadership escalation reporting by providing accurate technical and risk information.
  • Partner closely with lease providers, end-to-end delivery teams, datacenter engineering (DCE), lifecycle management (LCM), operations, Energy Markets Program Managers, and Energy Delivery Program Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with Exhibit F obligations and lease-related technical requirements across all energy delivery activities.
  • Produce recurring readiness reports, risk summaries, and executive-level escalation materials that clearly communicate project status and risks.
  • Maintain organized documentation and evidence repositories in SharePoint and other program management systems for auditability and transparency.
  • Focus initially on high-risk, non-traditional power delivery projects, including behind-the-meter natural gas generation, islanded infrastructure solutions, aggressive energization schedules, and utility-constrained metros.
  • Support gas generation construction projects in Texas, coordinating with relevant stakeholders and ensuring adherence to technical and delivery requirements.
  • Contribute to success metrics by reducing late-stage energization delays, improving visibility into delivery and energy readiness risks, effectively escalating and mitigating critical delivery blockers, and supporting complex behind-the-meter and islanded projects.
