Space
X is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. As a member of the Starlink Supply Chain Planning team, you will support engineers and supply chain professionals to establish and maintain the signals that drive the business and enable production of the Starlink satellite constellation. The team works quickly and aims to influence suppliers to improve cost, quality, and speed of execution, helping develop the factory of the future.
- Maintain accuracy and audit bill of materials in MRP systems in preparation for production at rate
- Establish/manage inventory level targets, review line of balances, align demand-supply signals and allocations, maintain product master data, and develop expertise in in-house systems and reports
- Mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply by constructing and executing a well-thought-out supply plan that fulfills product needs on time and with quality
- Be an expert in MRP, triage signals, educate teams in the proper use of MRP and its benefit to the business
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality to determine change cut-in and reduce obsolescence of material and eliminate/reduce quality issues
- Partner with internal stakeholders on implementing advanced supply chain strategies for risk mitigations like long-term purchases and strategic safety stock
- Proactively manage inventory and prevent stockouts while optimizing Space
X working capital - Develop and maintain good relationships with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to enable the mission
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and government regulations
- Proactively update Space
X management and engineering teams on critical supply issues - Analyze supply chain data and report metrics around the health of MRP and execution against it
- Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience in purchasing, material or production planning, operations or supply chain management, or material cost control; or 3+ years of experience in one or more of the same
- Technical knowledge in a commodity such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending and assembly, weldment, soft goods, etc.
- Proven success on cross-functional new product introduction projects, cost modeling, and negotiation
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions
- SQL experience
- Power
BI experience - Advanced skills in MS Excel and Project, including pivot tables or macros and data analysis
- Experience navigating multi-tier Bill of Materials and work orders
- APICS certification
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to respond quickly to a fast-moving environment
- High integrity in all activities
- Understanding of blockchain-powered supply chain platforms to boost efficiency, traceability, and transparency
- Must be able to travel up to 30% (including international travel) as required
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- This position is based in Redmond, WA and requires onsite presence; remote work is not considered
Pay Range:
Supply Chain Planner/Level I: $80,000.00 - $ per year
Supply Chain Planner/Level II: $90,000.00 - $ per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is part of the total rewards package at Space
X, which may include long-term incentives such as stock, discretionary bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, along with medical, vision, and dental coverage, a 401(k) plan, disability and life insurance, paid parental leave, and other benefits. Eligible for paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. Company shuttles are offered for selected Seattle locations to Space
X Redmond.
