  • Engage with regulatory agencies and review authorities to secure permits and approvals, while monitoring project performance and supporting corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare design plans, specifications, reports, and permit documents for stormwater, drainage, flood control, and related infrastructure, supported by hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.

  • Provide technical mentorship to junior staff, lead training sessions, and encourage collaboration across teams while supporting staff development in hydraulic engineering.
  • Maintain an active presence in professional organizations (e.g., ASFPM, NORMA, ASCE, EWRI) and partner with the Practice Area Leader (PAL) on internal research initiatives exploring emerging trends in hydraulic engineering.
What You Bring

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in water resources or environmental engineering.
  • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Washington required, or the ability to obtain within six months.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater, drainage, and flood control projects.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, regulatory agencies, and subconsultants throughout project development.
  • Experience in technical writing for the development of engineering reports, calculations, and permitting documents.
