Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer with a background in mechanical assembly, metal joining and machining. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing plans and processes to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in production. This position requires a proactive and hands‑on approach, working collaboratively with teammates and suppliers to address and resolve issues, drive continuous improvements, and uphold our stringent quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a high level of self‑motivation.
Essential Functions:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and requirements to translate to process planning that produces conforming hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure successful program execution.
- Assist, develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process instructions, manufacturing bills of materials and routings.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Provide Design for manufacturability and assembly feedback
- May design and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost‑efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with manufacturing and assembly of space hardware.
