Optical Engineer – Optical Systems R&D

TEKsystems is partnering with a client in Redmond, WA to hire an Optical Engineer focused on advancing next‑generation display system technologies for near‑eye consumer devices.

Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.

This role involves driving research and development of photonic integrated circuits, performing detailed design space exploration, and contributing to system level performance evaluation.

• Candidate should hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Sciences, Physics, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience in photonic device characterization, PIC fabrication, and fab‑aware design methodologies.
• Strong experience in novel integrated photonics device design, photonic device simulation, and electromagnetic modeling.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
