Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer 1 to join their team. As a Hardware Design Engineer 1, you will be part of the Silicon Architecture Support team supporting hardware architecture, power, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, analytical thinking, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Hardware Design Engineer 1

Redmond, WA (100% Onsite)

$33 - $37/hr on W2 (NO C2C)

• Support hardware architecture, power, and performance analysis through lab-based experimentation.
• Conduct silicon characterization and data collection to inform optimization efforts.
• Assist in automation of benchmarking and data collection processes for hardware development projects.
• Run performance benchmarks tied to CPU, Gfx, NPU, and other components, utilizing tools like NI-DAQ setups.
• Monitor and modify hardware systems to ensure conformance with specifications and performance goals.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in hardware and software integration, data collection, and experimentation.
• Hands‑on experience with power and performance analysis in a lab environment.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, .NET C#, or similar languages.
• Experience with tools such as logic analyzers, power analyzers, thermal tools, and automated test setups.
