Our laboratories in Redmond, Lacey, and Wenatchee are accredited by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).
Job Description- Reviewapprovedconstructiondrawings,weldingprocedures,shopdrawings,andprojectspecifications
- Communicatewithwelders,foremen,superintendents,project managers,engineers,andbuildinginspectorsregardinginspectionfindingsandcomplianceissues
- Preparedetailedinspectionreportsdocumentingcompliancewithcontractdocuments,approved drawings,AWScodes,andapplicablestandards
- Mentorandtrainjuniorinspectorsonweldinginspectionprocedures,code requirements,anddocumentationstandards
- Inspectandverifyweldingactivitiesforcompliancewithapprovedplans,specifications,andapplicableweldingcodes
- Ensureweldingworkisperformedinaccordancewithcontractdocuments,specifications,RFCplans,andapprovedweldingprocedures
- Ensurecontractorscomplywithprojectspecifications,approvedweldingprocedures,and applicable
AWS/IBCrequirements - Verifywelderqualificationsandweldingprocedurespecifications(WPS/PQR)
- PerformvisualweldinspectionsinaccordancewithAWSD
1.1andotherapplicablecodes - Documentwelddiscontinuities,deficiencies,andcorrectiveactions
- MaintaincurrentAWSCWIcertificationandotherrequiredcredentials
- Bachelor’sdegreeinatechnicalfield,Associate’sdegreewithrelevanttechnicalexperience,orequivalentcombinationofeducationandweldinginspectionexperiencepreferred
- Current
AWSCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required - Additionalcertificationssuchas
ICCStructural Steeland Bolting ,ICCStructural
Welding,NDTcertifications,orotherapplicableinspectioncertificationspreferred - WorkingknowledgeofAWSD
1.1,applicablebuildingcodes,andindustrystandardsrelatedtostructuralsteelweldingandinspection - Abilitytoreadandinterpretconstructiondrawings,weldingsymbols,shopdrawings,specifications,andweldingprocedurespecifications(WPS/PQR)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Officeapplicationsincluding Word ,Excel,and Outlook
- Valid driver’slicensewithacceptabledrivingrecord
- Strongattentiontodetailwiththeabilitytoprioritizeandmanagemultipleprojectsandinspectionassignments
- Abilitytoworkindependentlyinthefieldandcommunicateeffectivelywithcontractors,engineers,project managers,and clients
- Job duties subject to change; other duties as assigned by the manager
Salary Range: $40-60/hour, depending on qualifications
