This opportunity is open to candidates with experience in an engineering consultancy, developer, or design-build firm environment, and offers a fully onsite work setting (100%).

Position Summary

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing engineering projects from concept to completion. This position is ideal for a professional with 3+ years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality results. This role reports directly to the Senior Project Manager and plays a key role in supporting project delivery and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical, budgetary, and timeline objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through proactive problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and other external partners.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, construction management, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of Washington State construction codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience with green building practices and sustainability-focused projects.
  • Familiarity with the Seattle/Bellevue market and its unique challenges.
