Duration: Initial 12-month contract (possible extension/conversion)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager II to lead cross-functional execution for next-generation AR/Smart Glasses display technologies within a cutting-edge hardware organization. This role will drive end-to-end program management across display algorithm development, software validation, hardware integration, and prototype readiness to deliver exceptional visual experiences for future consumer devices.

Responsibilities:- Validation Roadmap & Milestone Planning:
Define and execute end-to-end validation milestones spanning algorithm model development, hardware testing, prototype SW validation, production SW readiness, and human factors evaluations - Cross-Functional Execution:
Drive alignment and execution across multiple interdependent workstreamsdisplay hardware, testing, software, and architectureensuring dependencies are tracked and gaps are closed - Hardware & Resource Coordination:
Proactively manage hardware allocation and device availability to unblock validation timelines - Risk Management & Mitigation:
Continuously assess program risks and drive mitigation plans. Maintain a living risk register with clear owners, impacts, and resolution paths - Stakeholder Communication:
Coordinate engineering team to communicate program statusincluding milestone readouts, validation results, risk summaries, and decision requests to engineering leadership and XFN stakeholders through regular reviews and executive summaries
- Prior experience with Big Tech can be considered to supplement an applicants prior years of experience or types of prior experience to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
- 3+ years experience as a technical program manager in hardware/software co-development programs.
- 3+ years experience in display technology, image processing, algorithm validation, or related electro-optical systems engineering
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading complex, multi-workstream execution across hardware, firmware, and software teams with demonstrated ability to anticipate roadblocks and create a path forward
- Proven ability to manage programs with significant hardware dependencies, including device allocation, prototype build schedules, and test infrastructure coordination
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions and assess validation readiness
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting technical status and risk assessments to senior engineering leadership
- Experience operating autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced development environments with evolving requirements and tight launch timelines
- Experience with display compensation algorithms and related image quality pipelines
- Familiarity with display technology testing methodologies
- Experience managing 0-to-1 consumer device programs from prototype validation through mass production
- Knowledge of AR/VR/XR display systems, including near-eye display architectures and image quality metrics
- 3+ yrs as a TPM in HW and SW co-development programs
- 3+ yrs in display tech, image processing, algorithm validation, or electro-optical systems
- Effective executive communication + XFN experience; comfort with ambiguity and tight timelines
- Big Tech Experience
- 1 consumer device programs (prototype mass production)
- AR/VR/XR near-eye display architectures
