Senior Facilities Manager, Reliability

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Join the team to drive reliability and continuous improvement across JPOD and JPLANT manufacturing and support equipment.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail‑oriented Senior Facilities Manager, Reliability to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics. You will act as the central liaison across operations, facilities maintenance, manufacturing, automation, quality assurance, validation, and utilities engineering, driving cross‑functional collaboration and continuous improvement in equipment performance and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop maintenance strategies, plans, SOPs, parts lists, BOMs, and frequency schedules for new and modified equipment.
  • Collaborate with safety, quality engineering, and manufacturing teams to perform equipment assessments and ensure compliance with GMP and facility management guidelines.
  • Review, improve, and update maintenance SOPs, parts lists, BOMs, and maintain CMMS data integrity for existing equipment.
  • Analyze CMMS data to identify trends and prioritize improvement areas.
  • Conduct functional equivalency assessments for spare parts.
  • Support or lead equipment troubleshooting efforts in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and facilities maintenance teams.
  • Lead and facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Drive Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the Reliability Engineering subject matter expert during audits.
  • Lead the implementation of predictive maintenance technologies to enhance equipment uptime.
  • Participate in technical reviews for equipment design projects and contribute to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
  • Identify and lead cost, waste, and energy reduction opportunities, including carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
  • Manage tasks related to change control, Quality CAPAs, and Safety CAPAs.
  • Track, maintain, and publish maintenance performance metrics and statistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical facilities maintenance management and 5 years of direct or indirect leadership experience.
  • Proficient in the use and administration of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in controlled environments with protective clothing.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross‑functional meetings.
  • Strong background in GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and facilities management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, utilities, P&IDs, equipment manuals, specifications, and SOPs.
  • Mechanical knowledge and coordination skills across manufacturing, facilities, and engineering teams.

  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and RCM.
