Job Description

We are seeking an Optical Engineer III to join our team. You will use internally developed simulation tools, including a display emulation codebase, to model and predict system-level performance for novel products and prototypes. You will analyze results to enhance product and prototype performance while improving the codebase's maintainability, efficiency, and capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Refactor and maintain code within internal simulation toolsets.
• Use simulation tools to model end-to-end display system performance.
• Analyze and report simulation outcomes to define specifications and support successful product delivery.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to explore concepts and drive system performance for compelling user experiences.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in software development and best practices.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Ability to analyze simulation data and communicate findings effectively.
• 5+ years of software development experience.

Preferred

Skills:

• Signal or image processing.
• Mathematical modeling and simulation.
• Color science.
• Knowledge of display technologies such as LED, OLED, LCD, LCOS, or DMD, and display pipeline architecture.
• Familiarity with display metrology or calibration, image quality metrics, or human perception.

Education / Experience:

• BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science, Color Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant software development experience.
