Construction Manager, AWS

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and project closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and request for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction projects.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives that increase the resiliency of data centers.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Manage construction documents, including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause failure analysis for equipment failures.
• Lead within the group and across internal and external teams supporting the data center.
• Read and interpret construction specifications and drawings for all disciplines.
• Define data center system‑level architecture, specify performance and equipment requirements, create conceptual designs, and maintain project documentation.
• Operate with knowledge of large‑scale technical operations or compute farms.
• Apply building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
• Commission large‑scale projects and manage power systems.
• Hold certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

• 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings across all domains.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
• Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations with deep understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
