Optical Test Engineer
Our client, a leader in display and optical hardware innovation, is seeking a dedicated Optical Test Engineer to join their team. As an Optical Test Engineer, you will be part of the Display Systems Engineering Department supporting a dynamic team focused on pioneering hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a passion for technological advancement.
Location:
Redmond, Washington
- Develop, execute, and document optical test and calibration procedures for display hardware, optical modules, and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define test and calibration requirements and ensure product quality.
- Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable feedback to design and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain and calibrate optical test equipment and ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Masters degree or equivalent experience in Optics, Optical Sciences, Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in optical testing, measurement, and analysis within a hardware engineering environment.
- Proficiency with optical test equipment such as spectroradiometers, photometers, colorimeters, and autocollimators.
- Ability to program test sequences, automate data collection and analysis, and perform image processing using Python, C#, or C++.
- Familiarity with display or electronics manufacturing and build cycles for hardware product development.
