The Equipment Engineer will be part of the Satellite Hardware Manufacturing Team at Project Kuiper, focusing on improving equipment uptime and capability for manufacturing next-generation spacecraft. This role involves managing the full equipment lifecycle, from design to end-of-life services. The engineer will utilize expertise in electro‑optical systems to ensure high system availability and production capacity. The position emphasizes data analysis for maintenance programs and troubleshooting protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience with prototyping and implementation
- Experience reading and developing rack elevation diagrams, wiring diagrams, GD&T, etc.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Data Acquisition (DAQ) Systems
- Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
- Experience developing equipment maintenance protocols, including Preventative Maintenance activities, Troubleshooting Runbooks, and Spare Equipment Plans
- Experience with Fiber Optic Assemblies, Optical Test Systems, and Optical Metrology Equipment
