Hardware Engineer, Test Engineer, Systems Engineer
Our client, a leading technology company, is looking to hire a Systems Test Automation Engineer - Battery & Power Systems in Redmond, WA.
Pay Rate Range$65 to $75/hr W2, depending on experience
Responsibilities- Develop and execute automated hardware test solutions with a focus on battery and power systems.
- Build automated test sequences using Python for routine, regression, and overnight testing.
- Program and control test equipment, including DC power supplies, electronic/DC loads, DAQ systems, oscilloscopes, and other lab instrumentation.
- Integrate hardware and software components into automated test environments.
- Perform hands-on hardware setup, configuration, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct battery/power system testing, characterization, and validation.
- Diagnose test failures across hardware, software, instrumentation, wiring, and devices under test.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to improve test coverage and reliability.
- Strong experience with hardware/system-level testing and test automation.
- Proficiency in Python programming for test automation.
- Hands-on experience working with power supplies, DC/electronic loads, DAQ systems, or similar test equipment.
- Experience developing automated commands/scripts to control hardware and test instrumentation.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting, debugging, and integration skills.
- Experience building and executing automated hardware/software test sequences.
- Battery or power testing experience is highly preferred.
- Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing experience is a strong plus.
- Experience in aerospace, avionics, automotive/EV, robotics, consumer electronics, or similar hardware environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with SCPI, PyVISA, LabVIEW, CAN, UART, SPI, or I2C is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working 100% onsite in Redmond, WA.
