We are exclusively partnering with Genie
, a global leader in aerial work platforms, to recruit a Welding Engineer for its Redmond, WA operation. This is a hands-on engineering position focused on welding process development, production support, quality improvement, and the implementation of new technologies across a sophisticated manufacturing environment.
As the Welding Engineer your responsibilities will include
- Developing, validating, and improving welding processes in accordance with AWS standards and production requirements
- Developing and deploying Welding Procedure Specifications and Procedure Qualification Records
- Supporting robotic welding programming, implementation, and the introduction of new welding technologies
- Leading root cause investigations and developing solutions to improve quality, productivity, and operating costs
- Evaluating engineering changes, manufacturing processes, prototypes, and production improvements
As the Welding Engineer you will bring
- Experience with in a manufacturing welding environment, with strong GMAW experience
- Knowledge of welding processes, AWS standards, and welding procedure qualification
- Experience with robotic welding systems or automated welding implementation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and drive projects independently
- A degree in Engineering, Welding Engineering, or Welding Technology is preferred, with CWI certification considered an advantage
