Lead Operating Engineer

JLL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Operating Engineer to join our dynamic Facilities & Maintenance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of building systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, ensuring all components operate at peak efficiency to support the needs of our clients. The Lead Operating Engineer will not only maintain the physical integrity of our properties but also contribute to the strategic planning and execution of energy management and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the facility maintenance team, promoting a safe working environment and quality workmanship.
• Plan and execute routine inspections and preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of facility equipment.
• Respond to and resolve complex technical issues involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with property management to implement energy-saving measures and sustainability practices.
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
• Train and mentor team members, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and skill development.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
