GENERAL SUMMARY

The Valet Attendant is responsible for safely driving and parking member and guest cars on arrival and retrieving them upon departure. Responsibilities include maintaining and delivering a consistent, positive, satisfying experience for members, guests, and Associates.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Warmly greeting each member with a smile; accepting vehicles and riving the cars between the valet loop and the valet parking lot
  • Keeping track of the times that club visitors will be returning to their vehicles
  • Running between the valet loop and back parking lot to retrieve cars in a timely manner
  • Carefully driving through a congested parking lot with safety being the primary concern
  • Diffusing member conflict situations with tact and professionalism
  • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
  • Clean and maintain parking lot, support other departments in down time
  • Active participation in events, programs, meetings and training
  • Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
  • Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days and evenings
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary job function satisfactorily. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Ability to read/understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from children, managers, Associates, members, and the general public.

Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

EXPERIENCE
  • Valid, current driver’s license required; clean driving record
  • Minimum three years of driving experience; safely drive a manual transmission vehicle
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience
  • Excellent customer service attitude and abilities; professional and friendly manner
  • Enthusiastic, responsible and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative; willingness to acquire new skills
  • Well organized and detail oriented
