Senior Financial Advisor

Overview

Uni Sea is looking for an experienced accountant to join our team. This position works closely with general ledger accounts, leads and creates monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting, and collaborates with external auditors.

• Lead and complete Month End, Quarter End (Consolidated Reporting Package), and Year End Financials.
• Perform general ledger account maintenance. Prepare associated schedules and accounting documents in an organized and efficient manner.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes to ensure accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions.
• Define and configure Product Costing reports using our ERP system and/or standard reporting tools.
• Reconcile monthly inventory and perform LCM analysis.
• Co-Lead Annual Audit coordination with outside auditors.
• Update standard costs for parts and supplies inventories.
• File/Report Sales/Use/Excise Taxes.
• Prepare annual crab economic data report for national marine fisheries services.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of data for audit and compliance purposes.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, share knowledge and build relationships within the organization to become a trusted business partner.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes and procedures.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.
• May require travel to Alaska on short notice for one to several weeks at a time.

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting is required.
• Six to nine years of accounting experience is required. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly desired.
• Must have previous experience consolidating financials for several entities.
• Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Must be able and willing to work increased hours during financial closes and audit season, as well as various times throughout the year to meet deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to travel to Dutch Harbor, Alaska for up to several weeks at a time.
• Must be able to commute to the Redmond, WA office at least 4 days per week.

This is a salaried exempt position, and it is not eligible for overtime pay. The starting wage range for the position is from $95,000 – $115,000 per year.
