The Cloud Infrastructure Operations finance team is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to partner with the Data Center Operations team in AMERS (US/CAN/LATAM), providing COGS and Capex financial leadership and transparency for Microsoft's cloud operations in the region

Responsibilities

The role requires a high degree of agility and skill in navigating multiple senior stakeholder requirements while enabling the accelerated growth aspirations for the business in a highly competitive market environment. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated and be curious in learning.

Business partnership

* Act as a strategic and trusted advisor to the data center operation leaders in AMERS to influence business direction, operational support, and investment models.

Analytical

* Model and analyze key strategic drivers to influence and drive future year planning decisions and strategic activities, specifically in relation data center operations.

* Monitor trends and key drivers, proactively recommending course of action.

Finance rhythms of business

* Own orchestrating budget, forecasts, LRP, monthly close, and workforce planning, in alignment with corporate and MSIO timelines for the AMERS region.

* Communicate required deliverables clearly and facilitate reviews with senior leaders in a timely manner.

Controls and compliance

* Ensure monthly financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with company policies. Ensure adequate internal controls are in place.

Process improvement

* Continuously improve processes to drive automation, efficiency, prioritization, and cross team collaboration.

* Collaborate with manager to identify high impact projects that will drive business success and align to your personal development goals

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

* Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

* Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.

* 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.

* 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.

* 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.

* Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organization, and creating effecting partnerships.
