In Caregiver – Redmond & Sammamish

Job Title: Live In Caregiver

Monthly Rate: $5,100.00 – $6,000.00

Job Status: Full Time

Work Base: King County

Our established shared living home program is searching for an experienced and compassionate Live‑in Caregiver who will move in with the family. The caregiver will meet the needs of one young woman and one young gentleman (brother and sister) with developmental disabilities, providing a safe and caring home environment while helping them maintain a high quality of life.

Required Qualifications
  • Home Care Aide (HCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing (LPN/RN) OR 75 hours training for HCA certification.
  • Current CPR/first aid and blood borne pathogens class.
  • Maintain HCA certification with 12 hours of continuing education per year.
  • 1+ years’ experience with developmental disabilities.
  • Comfortable with aquatic pets.
  • Comfortable with feline pets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Facilitate social interaction between the residents.
  • Supportive, open, and timely communication with the guardians.
  • Able to manage a schedule and stay organized.
  • Mentor and teach basic household skills to foster independence.
  • Willingness to work with outside resources including day programs, job coaches and other specialists.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Enjoy outside activities and recreation.
  • Previous experience as a live‑in caregiver/HCA.
Essential Functions, Include But Not Limited To
  • Assist residents with personal care including dressing, bathing, administering medication and personal hygiene as needed.
  • Transport residents to appointments/activities as needed.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks within the resident’s dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy home.
  • Supervise and/or administer medications daily.
  • Maintain open communication with families regarding resident’s physical and emotional condition.
  • Manage household operations including food purchases, cooking, laundry assistance, light cleaning, and reporting maintenance issues to the landlord.
  • Ensure financial expenditures are managed within the prescribed budget.
  • Follow any prescribed activities or routines as outlined by the families.
  • Listen and assist with problem solving.
  • Ensure a successful hand‑off to the weekend/backup caregiver.
