Job Summary A Night Auditor is responsible for greeting guests upon arrival and ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. The primary focus of a Night Auditor is to engage with guests in a caring and positive manner, using active listening skills to understand and address their needs and preferences. The Night Auditor also performs nightly hotel accounting reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Display empathy and active listening skills in all guest interactions.
Manage the registration process by confirming guest information, acknowledging noted preferences, providing room keys, and offering luggage assistance.
Tailor interactions to meet guests’ needs based on available data.
Understand and be familiar with hotel room inventory to manage and allocate rooms based on availability and guest preferences.
Respond accurately to inquiries, providing knowledgeable information about hotel features and general services.
Address guest issues with compassion, implementing appropriate service recovery measures.
Perform general cashiering duties.
Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
Complete end-of-day reconciliation and business closing reports.
Provide a detailed pass-down report for the next shift.
Qualifications and
Physical Requirements:
Previous experience in front desk or customer service roles, with a professional presentation.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of computer systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
