Event Planning Manager - Hospitality

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and creative Event Planning Manager to lead their hospitality events division in Welkom. This role involves conceptualizing, planning, and executing a diverse range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, manage budgets, coordinate with vendors, and ensure flawless execution on the day. • Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of hospitality events, ensuring they meet client objectives and brand standards.
• Manage event budgets meticulously, tracking expenses and ensuring profitability while maintaining quality.
• Source and negotiate with vendors, including caterers, decorators, entertainers, and AV providers.
• Develop detailed event timelines, floor plans, and run sheets for seamless on-site execution.
• Liaise with clients throughout the planning process, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Supervise on-site event staff and volunteers to ensure exceptional service delivery and guest satisfaction.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning, preferably within the hospitality or catering industry.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously, from conception to completion.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and client relationship skills.
• Strong understanding of event logistics, including venue selection, layout design, and production.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
