Location: Redmond, WA – 17735 N.E. 65th Street
Employment Type: Part-Time, Contract (6 months to 1 year)
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, ~24 hours/week, onsite
Pay Rate: $33–$35/hour
Position OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a part-time, contract HR Generalist on behalf of a client in Redmond, WA. This role will support HR operations, employee relations, and HR program execution across designated business units. The HR Generalist will partner with managers and employees to provide guidance, manage employee relations issues, administer leave programs, and support HR reporting, ensuring consistent application of policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a point of contact for HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting investigations.
- Advise managers on attendance, performance, and disciplinary processes; update HRIS systems.
- Administer leave of absence and FMLA cases, including tracking and documentation.
- Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding processes.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Support recruiting and compensation teams with job description development.
- Administer HR programs such as new hire orientation, benefits enrollment, leave management, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and data integrity in HR systems.
- Respond to employee inquiries professionally and confidentially.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within HR.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3–8 years of HR experience, including employee relations and HR program administration.
- Experience handling leave of absence and FMLA cases.
- Experience conducting exit interviews and preparing HR reports.
- HRIS experience required; ADP experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, recruitment, and organizational planning.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and work independently in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle ambiguity.
- Collaborate with the client’s HR team of 8–10 professionals.
Duration: 6 months to 1 year
Hours: Part‑time, 3 days/week onsite (Tuesday–Thursday, ~24 hours/week)
