About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and people-first professional to join our growing People & Culture team in Redmond, WA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a solid foundation in HR operations, and is eager to grow within a dynamic, AI-forward company. You will support day-to-day P&C functions with a particular focus on compliance, engagement, employee lifecycle processes, and payroll administration for our employees in US and Canada.
What You’ll Do
- Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and records management
- Assist with US & Canada payroll processing, timekeeping audits, and compliance checks in coordination with the payroll team
- Maintain and update HRIS data to ensure accuracy and integrity of employee records
- Respond to employee queries related to employee policies, benefits, and leave management
- Assist with preparation and tracking of HR compliance documentation and audit-readiness materials
- Manage the employee benefits administration analysis and enrolment cycles
- Validating job postings for the US and Canada regions with region specific laws and regulations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Legal) to facilitate smooth business operations
- Support drafting and distributing internal communications and policy updates
- Help track and report on key HR metrics including headcount, attrition, and engagement data
- People pulse checks and building up a People and Culture Presence
On Your First Day, We’ll Expect You to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in HR operations, people operations, or a related HR function
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to engage confidently across all levels of the organization
- Foundational understanding of core P&C operations including employee lifecycle, HRIS systems, and HR documentation
- Strong learnability, comfortable navigating ambiguity, acquiring skills on the go
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Suite
- Good to have: at least 6 months of hands-on experience in US & Canada payroll & compliance preferred (e.g., FLSA, state-specific wage laws, tax with holdings)
- Familiarity with tools such as Rippling, Workday, ADP, or similar HRIS/payroll platforms is a plus
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in building people-first workplaces
