Job SummaryThe HR Administrator is a hybrid role responsible for supporting core HR operations—including payroll, benefits administration, and generalist-level HR support—while also providing administrative assistance to the CEO. This role combines the responsibilities of an HR Coordinator and a junior HR Generalist, with a strong operational focus and high attention to detail.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of HR processes while supporting executive-level administrative needs in a fast-paced medical device environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll & Benefits Administration
Process and audit semi-monthly or bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance
Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within HRIS (e.g., Workday)
Administer employee benefits programs including:
Health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
Open enrollment coordination and employee communication
Leave of absence tracking (FMLA, state leaves, etc.)
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions (level 1 support)
Coordinate with external vendors (payroll, benefits brokers, carriers)
HR Generalist & Coordinator Support (Non-Employee Relations)
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including:
Pre-employment checks and documentation
New hire orientation and Day 1 readiness
Assist with job postings, candidate scheduling, and recruiting coordination
Maintain and update HR policies, SOPs, and compliance documents
Run standard HR reports and support audits (EEO, AAP, internal audits)
Ensure compliance with federal, state (WA/CA), and company policies
Support training coordination and HR initiatives
Provide basic HR guidance to employees (excluding employee relations issues)
Executive Administrative Support (CEO)Manage and coordinate CEO calendar, including scheduling internal and external meetings
Prepare and reconcile expense reports in Concur
