Overview
Senior Hardware Technical Program Manager. Our Redmond-based client is seeking a Senior Hardware Technical Program Manager to support an end-to-end Quantum Hardware program spanning multiple quantum hardware stacks. The team seeks deep domain expertise in quantum and low-level hardware systems. This role is designed for a technically strong TPM who drives complex programs rather than performing hands-on engineering. The ideal candidate began as an engineer or researcher, developed strong technical credibility, and now applies that expertise to lead sophisticated hardware initiatives.
Responsibilities- Act as a Hardware Technical Program Manager, owning delivery and execution across quantum hardware programs
- Drive programs across multiple Quantum Hardware stacks within an end-to-end hardware environment
- Partner closely with device, system, and test engineers to translate complex technical concepts into actionable program plans
- Support hardware design, development, integration, and test & measurement efforts
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams, including government-facing stakeholders
- Drive alignment, risk management, execution, and communication across cross-functional technical teams
- FPGA and ASIC design and development
- RF systems and low-level physics
- Semiconductor and device-level work
- Ph.D. in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including internships and academic research
- Strong domain expertise in quantum physics, device physics, semiconductors, and RF systems
- Working knowledge of FPGA and ASIC design and development
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting quantum hardware or advanced device platforms
- Exposure to ASIC development environments within large semiconductor organizations
- Experience across hardware lifecycle phases including design, bring-up, integration, and validation
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
