Base pay range$55.00/hr - $60.00/hr
Title: Software Development Engineer III
Location: 100% Onsite in Redmond, WA
Pay Scale: $55/hr - $60/hr
Duration: 6 month contract (long-term extensions/conversion to FTE possible)
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
Export Control Requirement:Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking aCloud Software Engineerto design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications in a cloud-native environment. This role will be primarily focused on building scalable features in AWS to support internal development teams, while also contributing to lightweight operational tasks such as Sat Ops ticket routing (~10-15% of your time). This is a hands-on development role with the opportunity to influence infrastructure decisions and improve tooling and automation across engineering.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based backend services using AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal teams to build new cloud features that enable rapid development and deployment.
- Support basic operational workflows, such as routing Sat Ops tickets, monitoring service health, and ensuring smooth infrastructure operations.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code where applicable.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for reliability and scalability.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code where applicable.

- Strong hands-on experience withAWSservices, especially EC2, S3, Lambda, and related cloud components
- Proficiency inPythonandBashscripting
- Solid understanding of backend service architecture and RESTful API design
- Exposure toMATLABand integration with the MATLAB compiler
- Familiarity with basic Dev Ops or infrastructure support practices
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, Grafana)
- Exposure to Sat Ops, mission-critical operations, or support workflows
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Cloud Formation, Terraform)
- Experience with either
