Audio Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager for an on-site role to help us advance an ambitious research program to develop technologies that will augment human capabilities and enable effortless communication in acoustically challenging environments. This is a contract position that requires a highly motivated individual who can work collaboratively as well as independently.

As a Project Manager, you will lead scientific research projects from conception to completion, collaborating with experts in audio signal processing, machine learning, and hearing sciences. An ideal candidate would have familiarity with some or all of these areas.

• Drive project planning, execution, and delivery for research and feature development.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Communicate project status, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders.
• Ensure proper documentation of progress and completion of tasks and projects.
• Oversee procurement of equipment and vendor services.
• Support operational (non-research) projects and tasks as needed.
• This role requires an onsite presence 5 days per week at the Redmond facilities.

Project Planning & Execution: Quick Prioritization:
Ability to rapidly assess and organize medium-term goals (up to 3 months).

Risk Assessment: Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Ownership & Organization: Take charge of priorities, ensuring clarity within work streams.

• Work closely with multiple technical leads to prioritize and execute ongoing work.
• Communication of Priorities:
• Ensure all stakeholders are aware of current priorities; elevate or initiate necessary conversations if priorities are unclear.

Concise Conveyance:
Clearly communicate priorities within and across work streams.

Technical Understanding:
Possess a technical background to understand and articulate project goals.

Audio Background (Highly Desirable):
While audio expertise is preferred, candidates with other technical backgrounds who can learn quickly are also valued.

Direct Oversight:
Manage and track tasks and goals in collaboration with technical leads.

Progress Monitoring:
Ensure timely completion and documentation of tasks.

Some Agile Experience

Familiarity with Agile methodologies is beneficial.
