Systems Engineer, IT Support
Overview
Salary: $115 - $120/Year
Details/Scope of the project: The project scope is to provide expert-level equipment engineering services that ensure high tool availability, reliability, and compliance through complex maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, lifecycle management, CAPA leadership, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration—measured against defined KPIs and SLAs.
Responsibilities- Execute complex preventive maintenance on all tools, including scheduled servicing, critical part replacement, and timely data collection to support best-in-class maintenance practices.
- Investigate and resolve expert-level repairs and troubleshooting.
- Support and lead CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities.
- Coordinate equipment installation, qualification, relocation, and decommissioning.
- Manage spare parts inventory - identify critical parts, set quantity limits, ensure timely reordering to prevent service interruptions.
- Complex Equipment Maintenance & Reliability:
Execute advanced preventive maintenance and critical component replacement; ensure equipment performance, stability, and uptime targets are met. - Expert-Level Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis:
Diagnose and resolve high-severity, complex equipment failures; perform structured RCA and document expert troubleshooting outcomes. - CAPA Leadership & Quality Compliance:
Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities end-to-end; ensure compliance with quality systems and continuous improvement standards. - Equipment Lifecycle & Cross-Functional Coordination:
Support equipment installation, upgrades, and decommissioning; coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams (XFN). - Maintenance Systems, Inventory & Documentation:
Utilize CMMS to manage maintenance execution, KPIs, and reporting; manage critical spare parts inventory and maintain compliant documentation.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking:
Approach complex equipment issues methodically and perform effective root cause analysis. - Attention to Detail:
Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation for maintenance, troubleshooting, CAPA, and service reports. - Communication
Skills:
Clearly convey technical issues and solutions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Collaboration & Teamwork:
Work effectively with vendors, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams, sharing knowledge where needed. - Time & Task Management:
Prioritize and manage multiple maintenance, troubleshooting, and project activities to meet SLAs and KPIs.
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $115 - $120 per year. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
